Porcellionides pruinosus "powder blue"
Powder Blue Isopods
This prolific, soft-bodied, species makes a great clean-up crew member and/or pet snack!
Bolts when startled & they move moderately quick, for isopods.
Though non-aggressive, the speed at which they reproduce can cause them to out-compete/crowd out others.
We haven't had much trouble with this ourselves, but do recommend an eye be kept on their population if keeping them with animals that don't eat them.
They reproduce very quickly and, with their softer exoskeleton, make a good snack for invertebrate-eating pets.
Powder Blue Isopods are non-aggressive and can be kept with other isopods, snails, and more!
